To help you with research, the Forum has a research room at Billings Public Library. The Genealogy Room is located on the second floor of the library, 510 North Broadway. The "Gen Room" is generally staffed on Monday through Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. to provide research help and instruction. If you need help outside of the staffed hours please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment.
When not staffed, patrons may request at the reference desk for the room to be unlocked. The collection is available any hours that the library is open. Items do NOT check out. The "card catalogue" can be found on this website.
NOTE: THE GENEALOGY ROOM IS CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS.
If you are unable to visit the Genealogy Room, you may submit research requests through this website or by mail in care of Billings Public Library. There is a charge. (See Research Requests.) We now offer PayPal as a means of making payment online.
The Gen-Bug is published four times a year and is available to members via this website. Older editions are available to the general public.
Search for using "yellowstone genealogy". Programs and events are posted on FaceBook.
